Welcome to the Third Annual Mississippi State University College of Business Leadership Summit. The day and a half event will bring together business, government, education, and economic development leaders to examine thetransformation of the state and region’s economy and to learn about new innovative business ideas.  The purpose of this year’s conference, Creating the New Economy, is both to assess and to support the transition to the entrepreneurial, information rich, sustainable economy that we must achieve in the early days of the 21st century.  What are we doing?  Is it working? If not, what do we need to do about it? 

Participants will have the opportunity to create a vision for business and work within a new paradigm. Upon leaving, they will possess a clearer vision for the future, and will have begun planning their next steps to move this transformation forward in their homes, their place of business, and their communities.

The College of Business at Mississippi State University has been advancing knowledge and helping to build our economy through excellent teaching, innovative research and practical outreach since 1915.  The College is widely recognized for its work in family business research, faculty/student consulting projects and management development opportunities.  Its four departments attract scholars from across the nation and world who are interested in combining education and research with practical problem solving.
